A-PH – ‘final cause; vortex; comprehension; wrath’

Sign of power united to that of speech, constitutes a root, which characterizes in a broad sense, that which leads to a goal, to any end whatsoever; a final cause. Hieroglyphically, this root was symbolized by the image of a wheel. Figuratively, one deduced all ideas of impulse, transport, envelopement in a sort of vortex, etc. That part of the mind called apprehension or comprehension.
